About Emio:

Emio is a small-scale, reconfigurable parallel continuum robot designed to teach students and young engineers the principles of soft robotics and its transformative potential. This robot comes with teaching contents and a dedicated software.

Connected to SOFA simulation framework, this platform covers concepts such as direct and inverse deformation modeling, simulation, control, design, 3D printing and computer vision.

Description:

The goal is to visualize the simulation of the Emio robot in augmented reality.

The internship schedule:

  1. State of the art
  2. Write the specifications
  3. Communication protocol between the computer and the AR device
  4. Show world anchored static Emio mesh
  5. Show the robot deforming, results of the simulation
  6. Adding user interaction with AR
  7. Send data from the AR environment to the simulation (ex: effector target)
